HGV Class 2 Driver

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers to work for a leading home delivery company based in Newark. This role will involve delivering white goods to customers homes with a driver’s mate.  After training you will be expected to carry out around 5 – 10 drops per shift.

You will be trained to install the smart tech you deliver to our customers: washing machines, fridge-freezers, 4K TVs, and more. This is a full-time ongoing position, with training provided. There is an opportunity for a permanent contract following 12 weeks of service.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (Cat C)
• Valid CPC card and digital tachograph
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• Good level of physical fitness and customer service skills
• DBS Check (this is paid for by us)

Duties:

• Delivering white good to customers homes
• Loading / unloading the vehicle
• Completing relevant paperwork
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time
• Adhere to all road safety and company procedures

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday (weekends optional) starting at 6:00am

What will I be paid?

£13.60ph, paid weekly.
