Digital Construction Manager – Devon
RGB Recruitment are seeking to speak with Digital Construction Managers looking for the next step in their career as I am delighted to be working with an established main contractor who have a rare opportunity for this person to join the already well established team on a permanent basis.

The purpose of this position will be to cover various Digital/BIM Management tasks for the lifecycle of a construction project, including work winning, design phase, pre-construction phase, construction phase, handover and soft landings across the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the production of project information models which contain 3D visualisations that bring together data, drawings and schedules associated with the design and construction phase of a project
  • Ensuring that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project 
  • Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Producing monthly reports for senior managers, to identify and measure BIM implementation 
  • Keeping up-to-date with advancements in building technology 
  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients
  • Producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650
  • Developing BIM execution plan (BEP)
  • Drive best practice – from tenders to completion including supply chain assessment
  • Chairing meetings to ensuring models are good for handover
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid working knowledge of BIM standards and best practice
  • Be able to work effectively with others
  • Good understanding of the ISO 19650 series of documents
  • Can discuss in detail openBIM standards such as IFC and COBie to support information interoperability 
  • Able to line manage / coach / mentor others and plan workload for a small team
  • Relevant BIM Qualifications/Courses
  • Experience implementing BIM within the construction industry
  • Understanding of software such as Revizto, Revit,  Procore, Viewpoint 4 Projects and COBie
  • Relevant driving licence
