Yard Assistant

We're Hiring: Yard Assistant

Location: Lanark
Salary: £12.50 - £14.50 per hour
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Are you a hardworking and reliable individual looking for a hands-on role in a busy yard environment? Do you have experience in stock handling, loading, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations?
We're looking for a dedicated yard assistant to support operations in our Lanark yard, ensuring efficient stock movement, maintaining site safety, and providing excellent service to customers and colleagues.

What you'll do:

• Assist with loading, unloading, and organising stock in the yard.
• Ensure the yard is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
• Support customers and drivers with collections and deliveries.
• Check and maintain stock levels, reporting any discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery where required (training provided if needed).
• Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar yard or warehouse role is preferred.
• Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.
• Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude.
• Good physical fitness to manage manual handling tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
