Production Oprative

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Production Operatives for a local food manufacturer based in Houghton Le Spring.
This role involves packing various goods in all types of packaging on different lines depending on the relevant orders
Rolling weekly shift pattern
Days 7am – 3pm £12.21 p/h
Lates 3pm -11pm £13.70 p/h
Nights 11pm -7am £13.70 p/h

Job Details

Set up, run and operate specified line and equipment within the process and packing area without supervision.
Strip and clean specific lines and associated equipment.
Fault find and report any breakdowns on the lines, carry out basic repair/maintenance requirements.
Liaise with colleagues ensuring continuity and carry out effective handovers both verbally and in writing.
Correctly carry out any required quality checks and constantly monitor the quality of the product being filled and packed.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, carrying out duties following GMP and being
responsible for the hygiene and housekeeping in the specified work area.
Have a flexible approach to work and carry out alternative duties such as helping in other areas, as and when required.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, working within ‘safe systems of work’.
Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
Assist with the training of other employees as necessary.
