Blending Operative

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Blending Operativs for a local food manufacturer based in Houghton Le Spring.
The role requires operatives to decant blends into the blending machines in accordance with customer orders, they will then place them into a IBC for the packing team, to be packed in weights that the customer requires.
This is a temporary role with a view to becoming permanent
Rolling weekly shift pattern
Days 7am – 3pm £12.21 p/h
Lates 3pm -11pm £13.70 p/h
Nights 11pm -7am £13.70 p/h

Role Responsibilities

Set up, run and operate specified equipment within the process area without supervision.
Strip and clean associated equipment.
Fault find and report any breakdowns within specified area, carry out basic repair/maintenance requirements.
Liaise with colleagues ensuring continuity and carry out effective handovers both verbally and in writing.
Correctly carry out any required quality checks and constantly monitor the quality of the product being mixed and sieved.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, carrying out duties following GMP and being
responsible for the hygiene and housekeeping in the specified work area.
Have a flexible approach to work and carry out alternative duties such as helping in other areas, as and when required.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, working within ‘safe systems of work’.
 Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
Assist with the training of other employees as necessary.
