Warehouse Operative

The Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team in
Northampton. This role primarily involves the loading and tipping of trailers using a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT). While full training on PPT operation will be provided, previous experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is highly desirable. This position involves minimal manual lifting.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) to load and unload trailers efficiently and safely.
- Ensuring accurate and secure loading of goods onto trailers.
- Performing pre-use checks on PPT equipment and reporting any defects.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

About You
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is essential.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is highly preferred.
- PPT Training: While full PPT training will be provided, an understanding of warehouse
operations and safety is crucial.
- Reliability: You must be highly reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the 4 on, 4 off
shift pattern.
- Work Ethic: A strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Safety Conscious: A good understanding of health and safety principles within a
warehouse setting.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Mature & Experienced: We particularly encourage applications from individuals with
significant prior work experience who can bring a wealth of knowledge and reliability to
the role.

Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (including two 30-minute breaks)

Salary: £12.21
