HGV Class 1 Drivers (Day & Night)

We are seeking reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Wellingborough with opportunities for both day and night shifts. We welcome applications from drivers with as little as 3 months of Class 1 experience.

Responsibilities:

• No hand balling required.
• Safe Operation: Operate Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all road and transport regulations
• Day Drivers: Primarily responsible for timely deliveries.
• Night Drivers: Primarily focused on trunking operations within the depot or designated sites.
• Vehicle Checks: Conduct thorough pre- and post-shift vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time (e.g., delivery notes, defect reports).
• Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Licence: Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience is required.
• CPC: Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card.
• Digital Tachograph: Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Good communication skills.
• A strong understanding of driver hours and working time regulations.

Working Hours & Shift Information:

• Shift Length: 40 hour basic week, plus overtime.
• Start Times: Day Drivers: Between 04:30 and 07:00.
• Night Drivers: Between 15:30 and 18:00.

Peak Periods: During peak times, weekend work will be required. Typical working weeks are 40-44 hours.

Remuneration & Benefits:
