Job Description
Bookkeeper - Newport, South Wales
Salary: Up to £35,000 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 37½ hours per week, Monday to Friday
Main Duties
Data processing and reconciliations both at client premises and in the office
Bookkeeping to accruals and prepayments level
Preparation of VAT returns
Assisting with accounts preparation
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice
Proficient in Sage Line 50, Xero, and other accounting software
Ability to reconcile all control accounts
Comfortable working unsupervised
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both with clients and colleagues
Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Technical Skills
Xero
Sage Line 50
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with accountancy packages such as IRIS, SAPA, etc.
Key Attributes
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Ability to manage tasks in a timely manner
Strong team player with the ability to work independently
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
