Job Description

We’re recruiting for a proactive and experienced Goods In Manager to join a well-established and respected electrical wholesaler based in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of key internal operations and play a hands-on role in supporting the continued growth and efficiency of a busy, successful branch. Your Role Reporting to Senior Management, you’ll be responsible for overseeing goods-in processes, leading internal teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll work closely with both suppliers and customers, so confidence, communication, and industry know-how are key.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee goods-in processes, stock levels, and delivery management
  • Organise and maintain the warehouse and storage areas
  • Motivate and lead the internal team to deliver excellent service
  • Serve customers at the trade counter when required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key accounts
  • Coordinate with the external sales team on order fulfilment
  • Ensure the branch meets health and safety standards and is kept in good order
  • Carry out keyholding duties as part of the management team
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 3 years' experience in the electrical wholesale industry (essential)
  • Strong product knowledge and familiarity with key suppliers and contractors
  • Experience in managing internal teams and overseeing stock control
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Proactive, hands-on, and team-oriented
  • Previous supervisory or management experience (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
