Salary: £12.60 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Pertemps is seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse/Stores Operative to join their team in Birmingham. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the warehouse and stores, including receiving and processing stock, picking and packing orders, and managing inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading.
• Pick and pack
• Using handheld scanners and inventory software
• Restocking shelves and storage areas
• Ensure all goods are stored safely and securely.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
• Operate pump trucks and forklifts
• Being flexible to undertake other duties as and when asked to.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or a similar setting
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills
• Proficiency in numeracy and literacy, with the ability to maintain accurate records
• A keen eye for detail and a dedication to precision in all tasks
• Physically capable of handling and transporting heavy items
• Basic proficiency in IT systems
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong work ethic
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous but not mandatory
• A valid Counterbalance forklift licence
