About Us:
Pertemps, on behalf of our client, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a mechanical background to join their team in Manchester. They are a leading fire protection specialist, providing innovative and top-tier services across commercial, residential, and domestic projects nationwide. As part of a passionate and highly skilled team, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional fire safety solutions.

The Role:
  • As Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee financial and contractual management for major sprinkler installation projects across the North. Responsibilities include:
  • Driving profitability through value creation and cost control.
  • Leading contract negotiations and managing commercial strategies.
  • Reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with governance policies.
  • Managing applications for payment, retention collection, and risk mitigation.
  • Providing accurate monthly Cost Value Reconciliations.
  • Supporting business development and ensuring commercial/legal compliance.

About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A mechanical background, ideally in fire protection.
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
