CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator

Pertemps West Bromwich are looking for a CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator on behalf of our engineering client based in Tipton.
 
Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 with a 15 minute break in the morning and an hour lunch break
Friday 08:00-16:30 with a 15 minute break in the morning an half an hour for lunch
 
Pay: £14-£17 depending on experience
 
The ideal candidate will have experience in setting, programming, and operating CNC machines, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and adjusting CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts that meet exact specifications, while maintaining safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure precision and quality by performing regular inspections and measurements of machined components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine or programming issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine settings as needed.
• Draw and interpret customer specifications
• Perform routine maintenance and keep machinery in excellent working order.
• Follow all safety and quality control guidelines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Setter, Programmer, and Operator.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming (experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus).
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
