Our client who distributes and stores home furniture and furnishings based in Market Drayton are looking for a full time, temporary to permanent warehouse manager to join them and steer the team into the right direction.

You will be responsible for running of the warehouse where they will be operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, your team will be performing heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required, the team will also deal with shipping and receiving processes, and as a manager you will be assuring the team provide accurate documentation and inventory control information whilst utilising the warehouse management system to track stock levels and manage inventory effectively.
This varied role will mean that you will be in charge of providing training for handling materials with care, and you be ensuring you have provided proper storage and organisation within the warehouse for your team. You will ensure that everyone is correctly loading and unloading goods from lorries, and all items are handled safely to prevent damage, also making sure picking and packing orders are accurate for dispatch.

Ideal Candidate

● Previous management experience in a warehouse environment
● Ability to lead a team
● Health & Safety knowledge
● Used KPIS for performance
● Proficiency in operating forklifts is highly desirable; relevant certifications are a plus.
● Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment maintenance is advantageous.
● Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures is beneficial.
● Experience using warehouse management systems
● Excellent attention to detail and organisational
● A proactive attitude towards safety practices within the workplace is required.

8.30 – 5pm
Monday – Friday
37.5 Hours a week

£15.00 per hour
